We are excited to present a great new line-up of blog posts as well as interviews this semester! While we are sad to see our assistant editor Jahnvi Verma leave, we are delighted to introduce Hongdi Zhao and Yuxuan Jiang as our new assistant editors. We hope to continue to engage in conversations and publish research that furthers the frontier of development economics and inspires young researchers.
Hongdi Zhao is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Applied Economics and Management program at Cornell University. Her research focuses on applied microeconomics, specifically on economic development and human well-being. She is also interested in utilizing machine learning techniques to study economic development. Learn more about her research at: https://hongdi-zhao.github.io/ .
Yuxuan Jiang is a Master’s student at Cornell’s Applied Economics and Management program. Her research interests are in economic development and social inequalities, as well as policy-making on education and health. Prior to joining Cornell, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
