I am pleased to announce two new job opportunities at the Tata-Cornell Agriculture and Nutrition Initiative: Research Associate and Research Support Specialist. TCi was established with a generous gift from the Tata Trust to conduct multidisciplinary research on the agriculture-nutrition nexus in India. Dr. Prabhu Pingali came on as TCi’s founding director just two years ago. Our partnerships, research opportunities, and size have been growing ever since!
These positions will play an integral role in research and outreach for TCi, an emerging initiative that works across disciplines at Cornell and comes at a time when agriculture and nutrition are at the top of the policy debate and political agenda in India. The audiences for this work are several: academic researchers, development practitioners, donors, and policy makers.
The Research Associate will enjoy significant independence (receiving general direction from Dr. Pingali). Experience in nutrition policy, international/rural development research, the India context, and in preparing a book for publication are highly desirable. Closing soon, apply today!
The Research Support Specialist will work directly under the supervision of Dr. Pingali to support the research outputs of TCi. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of the research process and data analysis. Successful candidates with have experience using statistical software and relevant topical knowledge (applied economics, public policy, international development, food security, nutrition).
I am deeply interested to join the TCi team. I had completed PhD in Agricultural Extension and currently working as a research associate at IIT Delhi. If there is an opportunity as a research associate, I would gladly forward my CV
